This policy explains how Harrington Leisure Pty Ltd (trading as Pachinko Night Lounge) handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. It covers the website, bookings, memberships and venue systems.
1. What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the lounge and answer your enquiries:
- Contact details you give us directly: name, email, phone number, and anything you include in booking or event requests.
- Booking information: dates, group sizes, service selections and any dietary or accessibility notes you choose to share.
- Membership records: card purchases, play balances and visit history if you hold a membership.
- ID verification: checked at the door as a licensed venue. We sight ID but do not scan or store copies.
- Website data: standard analytics such as pages visited and device type, collected in aggregate.
2. How we use it
Personal information is used to confirm bookings, respond to enquiries, manage memberships, run events you enter and meet our licensing obligations. If you join the newsletter we send one email a week; unsubscribing removes you from that list only.
We do not sell personal information, rent it out, or share it with advertisers. We do not profile you for marketing decisions.
3. Who we share it with
A small number of service providers handle data on our behalf under contract:
- Our booking and email platform provider, which stores enquiry and newsletter data.
- Our payment processor, which sees only the card details needed to take payment — we never see or store full card numbers.
- Regulators or law enforcement where Australian law requires disclosure, such as licensed-venue reporting.
4. How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept for up to two years. Membership records persist while your membership is active and for two years after. Financial records are kept for the seven years required by Australian tax law. CCTV footage in the venue is retained for 30 days unless an incident requires longer.
5. Your rights
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Requests go to [email protected] with the subject 'Privacy request'. We respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have mishandled your information, you can complain to us directly and, if unresolved, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
6. Security
Enquiry and booking data lives on access-controlled systems used only by the team members who need it. The website runs over HTTPS. Paper records — sign-in sheets and ID check logs — are stored securely and destroyed on schedule.
In short
- We collect only what bookings and memberships need.
- No selling, renting or advertising use of your data.
- Access, correction and deletion requests honoured within 30 days.
- ID is sighted at the door, never scanned or stored.
